I just uploaded a photo of the Park Row, from the NYC Tax Photo collecion, which became available online in Nov. 2018. This picture is from the photos taken between 1939 and 1941.
I have uploaded two photos of the theater, circa 1940, from the NYC Tax Photo collection, 1939-41. They’re not great photos, bu it’s nice to see something from the past, whether we’re old enough to remember it or not. The address is listed as 1205 Quentin Road, in the 1940 Brooklyn phone directory.
The Triangle Theater was listed in the 1940 phone directory, at 1205 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY. This picture is from the 1939-1941 Tax Photo collection, which was released in Nov. 2018. Homecrest Guy.

I posted a photo from the NYC Tax Photo archive project, 1939 to 1941. Unfortunately, it’s only one side of the theater and not clear, but this is to be expected after almost 80 years. These photos were digitized, and released in Nov. 2018.
I just uploaded the only known picture of the Dewey to this site. The photo is from the wonderful NYC Tax Photo Archives project, a collection of hundreds of thousands of previously unreleased NYC photos. I was surprised and happy to find that the owners of cinematreasures allow users to do uploads like this. The site of the Dewey is no longer a plumbing supply business, it’s now Coney Island Chemists.
Nice theater in it’s day. The last time I was there, over 20 years ago, the A/C broke down, on a hot day, and those who wanted to leave, including my wife and I, received a refund.

I just uploaded the old/new NYC Tax Photo of the Jewel, circa 1940, to the photo section. This is probably the oldest pic of the theater available.

Had great times at the Midwood in the 1960’s and 1970’s. The zip code shown is not correct, it’s 11230.
