Sounds more like a Georgia Theatre operation, everytime they closed something; some part of something would be somewhere on a Drive-in Or walk-in Theatre.
okay, I will.I see Nick is back so that is a good sign.I noticed on Sundown Drive-in in Tampa Nick has HIS E-Mail on,If you want to go right to Mr.Nick.
And Right above it on a hill was the Bon Air Drive-in Theatre.Screen facing other direction. Thanks Alonzo, spent a lot of time there, wish i would thought to take pictures.
You know i have So many reels I hate to say it,but I think I left it,unless Bill the guy with me took it,he might have being an old Projectionist.that fireplace was Beautiful and in a DRIVE-in.It was a real fireplace too.
okay,In Augusta the Local here 518 was LAX.Often the projectionist would walk in the office during slow periods and “shoot the bull”.At Regency 1-2-3 Cinemas Chuck Dray the Union’s Business agent could often be spotted at Chick-Fil-a sipping Coffee.I remember one time Cinema One lost sound and I walked over to tell Chuck. He thought I was Kidding,Boy did that 63 year old man fly up those Steps.Tis and Peter both lived in larger Cities, hence the Union went by the books a bit more.I always hated doing Payroll I think at that time they were making about Eight Dollars an hour in Augusta[Mid 70’s].Me,How about $2.50 an hour to be resposible for a large Twin Theatre.
Peter what do mean bring his paycheck to him,was he too dang lazy to pick it up himself. You gotta be kidding me.Never heard such a tale.Well,Maybe they had a REAL STRONG UNION.LOL.
Thanks tim for the update.I had heard years ago and mean back in the seventies a lot of Malls did not theatres inside them,I have no proof except 8 years in the theatre business and you hear stories.

Oh,Alonzo thanks for the pictures.Wish the one with “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” had the whole Title.
