Hahahaha….I can’t believe you said that! Well, I think Cathy said the boy ended up being some kind of athlete. I never saw that coming! And what about his wife? She could have been the church lady on SNL!!!
Ok Mr. Projector…I just pulled out my wedding pictures… Well, I guess you’re a guy. I don’t think you’re Mickey cause you said you worked with him. That leaves 2 other guys. Adam was one…I think he was Sonia’s brother??? Or the other guy…Chris maybe???
Haha…I always liked Mr. Tinney. We missed him when he left and “DICK” came to town. Well…let’s just say we really pulled one over on him in Atlanta, but I’m going to save that little story for our reunion. I’ll just say that we certainly did not part on the best of terms!
It’s funny how the theatre people seem to stick together. My parents met when they were both working at the Modjeska and I met my husband when we were both working at Phipps. We were married for 21 years then he passed away about four years ago.
Ok Mike…sounds good. BTW…thanks so much for telling me about this site. I have looked up other theatres in Atlanta that I had connections to…Phipps, Stonemont, Promenade, & Twelve Oaks…So much fun! I even found somebody who mentioned coming to my wedding in 1984…trying to find out who it is!! LOL
These are great as well Mike. I remember working the box office the last night the Imperial was open as a movie theater. James Brown came in to sit in the balcony and watch the movie. I have some pictures from that night somewhere.
Thanks Mike! I just read all of your posts…very interesting. I forgot you worked with Mark Kuchinski…I’ve been trying to get in touch with Lisa, but she hasn’t returned my calls. For some reason Diane said I can’t invite her brother…hmmm, must be a story there…ask him anyway! I’ll try to think of some things to post here. Oh, where you talked about somebody walking into the glass in the lobby. I remember somebody did that when I worked there too. It was during the summer when we had Return of the Jedi. We were packed and all of a sudden there was this loud crash and the glass was gone!
I don’t know Mike, but I’m curious, aren’t you???
