Nice looking theatre for Cordele,Georgia at lest one can escape the gnats in the Summer there in a nice theatre,Maybe Spotlight theatres will keep it up compared to a lot of Carmike Locations I have seen in Smaller towns. Thanks Joe for getting it on and CWalczak for the picture.
I like the look of the Marquee.Especially, the coming soon section. We always had to tag those films at the Bottom of the Marquee at Columbia 1 and 2 and it just confused some folks thinking the COMING SOON movie was Now playing.
VivaLaDrivein, where are all the “Many many Memories"this theatre should have more than what you wrote if you have stories they need to be on,but since you were last on in 2007 , a lost cause. And Tisloews "you never heard of this one before”.Wow.
tisloews is right having been a theatre manager himself he knows how a beautiful single screen is ruined by throwing the lousy wall down the middle,we all know why,MONEY,still it is a pity to ruin a theatre by twinning or even squezzing more screens in like UA did with my favorite hometown theatre.
Yeah, they just finished a independent Film fest.I don’t know how well it was attended.

Thanks Chuck you must have some big Theatre book.
It was owned by J.Adrain and W.Nelson in 1956.Seem to play one feature a night such as May 2 1960,“SHAKE HANDS WITH THE DEVIL”.

I am sure it probably under went a name change, but as far as I could track it it was KINEMA.
Looking at the ads this seemed to be one of the popular Drive-ins in Calgary.
Best I could I do was the Road,Those dang Newspaper ads wouldn’t help much if you were from out of town.
Rick, it parked 225 cars,Making it one of Jacksonville’s smallest Drive-ins. In 1956 Bailey Theatres ran it.
Greensboro is a little gem right off I-20 heading to Atlanta,East.
