Wonderful news for a sweet historic theatre like this. Yes it is important that vintage buildings that have meant so much to a small town’s unique quality be preserved. Cheers!
Too bad such a beautiful building was converted to other uses. The Coliseum was built across the street maybe. That might have been a reason. Does anyone have interior pics of the Alhambra?
Strange that the downtown Big Apple has only a couple single screens left. Much smaller towns have more than that still. Seattle being one of them. The Egyptian only a mile or so from downtown on Capital Hill and The Big Picture downtown. They do well I hear.
Beautiful building inside and out. Incredible detail. It could be an ancient classic structure in Italy or France.
All that great detail and proscenium cover-up. Major waste of beauty. Good that is in the past now.
Wow! So unique and post art deco. Sad it was torn down. Loss for the town.
Nice marquee. Any pics inside?
Wonderful ceiling detail and wall design.
Yes elegant exterior and marquee.
Great blade signage. Nice exterior.

Classic interior and lovely details. Lighting great too. Anyone have interior pics?
The nicest building in downtown Seattle and the crown of 5th Avenue. Tree growth kind of hides it. Might not be the best thing.
Is this the same building that was the Alhambra? It is kind of famous as Frederick and Nelson. Maybe not the Pretty Alhambra.

Art deco anyone? Great marquee!
Looks elegant. Murals? Lighting is lovely too.
Yes. Great marquee and history. Save this building!
Beautiful marquee and signage. Doors nice too.
Handsome tile work and lights.
Elegant art deco curtain and details everywhere else.
Original architecture was so much nicer. Most interesting design elements were taken off with later years remodeling.
Great design on the marquee. Building is graceful and smart in its varied textures.

Nice exterior but no interior images? Lets see the proscenium. Is this the great theatre Judy Garland came back to for years?
Rather plain remodeling but like the column details and the gold valance. Bet it was nice back in the day.
Great Art Deco signage and blade sign. Restore this historic theatre. Tacoma needs this. Any interior pics from the past?
Tragic if this beautiful building is not saved. Must be one of the nicest buildings in town. Lets see the interior in the past.
