I came back from overseas military in early 1972. NO jobs, badass recession, and nobody gave a shit about veterans back then. Fortunately, I found a job building the drive-in in early spring ‘72. Worked with an old buddy of mine from business school (Barry Ickes). Our job was to bury all the speaker lines under the gravel. Pay wasn’t that great, but we were both thankful to have a job at that time!!
