I think the last movie I saw there was “Silence of The Lambs” in 1991. It was in an ideal location, right next to the food court and a video arcade. It was still running in the early 90s. Vaguely remember seeing Karate Kid 2 there in 1986. It was a decent movie theater, and I believe the rooms had nice little cup troughs running left and right in front of the chairs.
This sat empty for years until a fitness center (World Gym? Gold’s?) finally occupied the space. Three decent theaters within a few miles of one another closed from 1998-2000, probably due to the opening of Thoroughbred.
The movie poster for “The Bone Collector” stayed in the display for years. Too bad it couldn’t be retooled as a second run theater, since Watson Glen closed around the same time. I don’t think there are any second run theaters left anywhere near Nashville.
Recently damaged by a fire that broke out in the concessions area.
