Eastern side Box.
There used to be three carved and upholstered chairs in each of the boxes, though no-one ever sat in them. This area of the walls was considerably deeper in Adelaide than its counterpart in Sydney which suffered from a cramped site. This allowed space for decorative panels on each side, and the arches to be much higher and to be indented into the outer proscenium arch. The piano of the 3/15 Wurlitzer organ was installed in the lower western box, behind the curtains.
