Anyon who has not experienced the Redwood Drive in should check it out! The swapmeets on the weekend run year round. They have remodeled the snack bar and bathrooms (major improvement). Tickets are six dollars per adult children 11 and under are free. Great movies at a reasonable price. I’m glad its still open!
The Murray is now being used for live music acts. There is also a comedy hypnotist on Saturday night. Its great to see the Murray in use again! (The sign has not been lit since I was about 16, now it is again!
I saw many movies here, including “Star Wars” and “Orange County”. The place had a spooky air to it, but we went there anyway. The theaters had burnt orange curtains and red seats.
On the subject of ghosts – I work in a retirement community; working the graveyard shift I’ve seen ALL sorts of shadows, turn a corner and seeing something dash away, actually “see” people that have been dead for years. The profession certainly lends itself to see things that you can’t explain. Anyway – I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this but the Avalon Theatre in Salt Lake has an forboding presence, like something BIG happened but I can’t say what. Does anyone more about this theatre?

Now the sign says something about the Comedy Shows running again. I drove by and read the sign on 8/25/04.
Anyone know more about this theatre?
