I had the pleasure of touring the space last summer with a group of friends and was thoroughly impressed. I’ve lived in St. George (the neighborhood) for 10 years now and this is about the best thing that has happened for the art community here. I am new to this chat room and was just reading the comments about bringing in classic films. I would love to see some, once in a while, at the St. George. I did not notice anything coming up on the schedule that was film-related. My favorite is “Splendor in the Grass” and I’ve heard it was filmed in STaten Island way back when. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this or just rumor?
Thanks so much for the info, so it looks like Staten Island really DOES have splendid grass (!). I’ll keep my eyes open for the classic movie night.
