The cinema was in a strip mall that is now called Bay Shore Commons. Not sure what name was years ago, but it was anchored with a Grand Union grocery store at west end and Gimbels in east end. Cinema was right in center, approximately where a Tropical Smoothie cafe is now located. The address for that shop is 567 E Main St, Bay Shore, NY 11706. It had a small marquee, and I seem to recall the floor being flat, not pitched like most theaters. It closed in the early 80’s as best as I can recall. Sorry I don’t have more to add.
Quite a grand place. I recall seeing “Earthquake” there and looking up as the sensurround shook the theater and noting I was directly under a very large chandelier. This was quite an elegant place. Sad when it was gutted.
I too saw several “rock and roll” movies there in the 80’s…Tommy, Rock and Roll High School. They also had the Rocky Horror Picture show on regular rotation.
