There is more history to this building. It was originally built as a 1920’s movie studio as you can see from the classic shape! Hialeah almost became Hollywood in the 1920’s, but the 1926 Miami Hurricane blew away that dream. My 91yo Dad lived in Hialeah during the mid-1930’s and there were still three 1920’s movie studios, two were abandoned and one was converted to the Hialeah Theatre. Today the original movie studio is now a church. I wish a historical preservation society would acknowledge this unique building in Hialeah history!
