The church started as the Second Baptist Church in 1892, founded by 35 African-Americans. The church had several buildings around town until moving into this structure in 1992.
I went through Milford recently and took a photo of the exterior, which I posted on Panoramio. I’m afraid there has been some significant alteration in the facade.
Another recent shot. Anyone know what the story is with the marquee? It looks really run down in contrast to the rest of the theater.

I’ve also posted a recent photo of the Modjeska Theater.
It is now the Life Music Christian Fellowship, and the name and website both suggest that the emphasis on performance is still strong.
