The program was saved by Mary Brewer, who visited Washington, DC, on a senior class school field trip from Rocky Mount, NC. They arrived by train. The trip included stops at the Central Presbyterian Church, a performance of “The Old Flag Above All Others” at the Rhode Island Avenue Methodist Protestant Church, and visits to the historic Christ Church and Carlisle House in Alexandria, Virginia.
