Ah! The old Linden. In the late fifties or early sixties, the Linden advertized four Horror Hits for a quarter. One could stay the whole day viewing Frankenstein, Dracula the wolf man and many others of their friends and foes. I still recall their disclosure “Free smelling salts if you faint”. I don’t recall seeing anyone faint, but I do recall being kept awake at night by these frightening black and white motion pictures. These movie telethons were offered for viewing once per month and on a Saturday only, if memory didn’t fail me.
