Surfing the net I ran across your site , OMG the Embassy theater , LOL , I grew up on Cleveland street in the 40’s/50’s , I spent every saturday at the Embassy , for a quarter you could watch as many film’s from noon til 4:00 as they showed , I saw “ the crature from the black lagoon ” about ten thousand time’s , all the cool sci-fi corny film’s , Mr . Finkelstein was the manager , and that super weird usher , hmmmm , cant recall his name , LOL, the place was a masterpiece of decor, of course looking back I see that now , then I could care less , we used to smoke in the balcony and that usher would toss us out , but the next matinee we’d be there as usual , LOL, I recall meeting “ Pinky Lee ” there when I was about 7 or 8 , a candy bar the size of a loaf of bread for a dime , I think the candy bar company’s were ran by the “ American dental association ” then , LOL, but the Embassy will alway’s hold a dear spot in my heart, It’s funny as you age you tend to remember the small thing’s in your life, closing my eye’s I can invision , Johnny Crowley and Joey Kapish and myself waiting in line on saturday morning , another patron was Dicky Codey ( he’s now the Governor of New Jersey ) I must admit talking a stroll down memory lane is a sweet trip. Bill Bohaboy Las Vegas PS keeping the old theater’s intact is a truly great gesture on your part.
