I wish had some kind of evidence to prove this, but I swear I saw a double feature of “Star Wars” and “Up In Smoke” at this theatre. My father would take my on business trips every summer to the Bay Area and one of the stops was always Fremont. Usually it was a G-Rated film that was playing. The auditorium was packed with children watching Luke Skywalker, and then Cheech and Chong. I couldn’t have been more than 12 years old.
When we moved to Yorba Linda in 1974, I swear this place was operating as “The Bogart Theatre.” Can anyone else confirm this? I was only 7 at the time.
