This is the building for what originally was the Almeda West Cinemas. When the cinemas originally opened, there were two buildings – One of the East side of Almeda Mall parking lot (Almeda East Cinemas) and this building on the west side of the parking lot. Each building initially had 2 screens in them, making it the Almeda 4 Cinemas. When the cinemas were divided, this building then had 4 screens. The East building also was divided into four screens and later had a fifth screen added, making the complex the Almeda 9 Cinemas.
