This 1954 map shows where the Showboat Drive-In was located – look for it in the upper right-hand corner. The red line across the center of the map is 11th Street (old Highway 50), while the hollow line (running top to bottom) next to the theater is Chrisman Road.

We would drive this way to Manteca in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and I do not recall ever having seen it from my spot in the back of the station wagon.
