The hand-stencilled, French Velvet main drape was created at the Shearer Studios in Seattle and transported to Powell River by Steamship for installation in October, 1928. When repairing the top of the drape, we discovered that the original colour had been steel blue-grey, and that the drape had “weathered” to this swampy moss green over the years from cigarette smoke in the Theatre.
