Many years ago, I lived in one of the flat-top houses at 62nd and University. We could sit on the roof and watch the back screen feature. That is how I observed Godzilla destroying Tokyo. I also remember many a night trying to go to sleep—we always knew when the film broke because all hell would break loose with the car horns.
