The Hicksville theater on Marie st pre-dated the NGC Hicksville Twin at the Broadway mall (Where IKEA is now) As a youngster when the film “Munster Go Home"came out; there it was THE "Munster Koach”, parked in front of the theater and inside the theater to speak was; Grandpa Munster and FRED Gwynne(Herman Munster) introduced by Radio DJ “Murray the K”.
I pass this rare gem every 3 or 4 years on road trips.
I attended this theater with raspy voiced Maryann who was from the Albany,NY suburbs and we saw “The way we were”.
I hope this stays open forever.
It’s a real historic cinema treat.

I passed this former Theater several times. It’s quite obvious that it was formerly a Movie house. Its very close to HERRING RUN PARK.

The one theater that you can actually see and hear Martin Scorsese introduce a fine restored film on several rare occasions.
Lovely theater. The only Theater in Town that’s showing “The Shape of Water”
