The stairs to the balcony were on either side of the foyer. We see it here empty of film goers. I see it bustling with excitement as we bought our tickets and bought our snacks ( strawberry milk shake chocolates etc) from the little kiosk just out of sight of this photo. I came here as a child with my parents. Later on I came with children of my age for the matinees on Saturday mornings. Then I came here with boyfriends. I shared my first kiss in the stalls. I saw my first Dracula film in the stalls. I painted the view from the balcony with its amazing chandelier as part of my A Level Art GCE. I can safely confirm that this photo means a lot to me.
