I saw several plays at this theater, and a nice Alfred Hitchcock festivale here to!
…I moved to COlorado in around late 1995 after the drive-end theater was closed…I lived in an Apartment Complex behind the theater (The manager of the complex said a ghost of a woman walked the grounds of the drive-in late at night) (My living room window looked over the weed-infested parking lot, and the huge white movie-screen)… sadly I lost the photos I had taken of the once giant screen. I still have the letter “C” which I found near the old marquee.
I heard the main reason the theater closed was a “murder-robery”..? Is the true. I have lived in Colorado off and on for over 8 yrs and I have heard this form everyone. Please confirm..??
I remember seeing the last film ever at this theater which was “Porky’s (1982” After my parents divorced she re-married and had a tupperwear party, and well long story short my mother’s husband took me and several friends to this drive-end and well we saw “Porkys”. LOL God to be a boy at 10 Yrs of age again!
The theater was bulldozed over, and became a trailer park!
…I Remember my parents taking me to the Kachine Theater to see “Meteor” in 1979 W./ Sean Connery and Natalie Wood. I also remember seeing a Re-Issue of “The Wizard of Oz” on the big screen at this theater, as well the last film ever shown was a Re-Issue of “Gone W./The Wind”. I remember when the Kachina was being torn down who ever owned the theater gave awaay the seats, screens eveyhting, which was so sad since once the theater was gone it become nothing but a parking lot.
Phoenix and Scottdale are bad for not preseveriing the past and trying to save these great old theaters.
Thas what I like about Denver, Colorado is that the city saved one of its old movie theater “The Myan” which is great because future generations can enjoy the past & see what going to the cinema was all about!
………..THIS SHOULD BE RE-BUILT!

…Phoenix Az hates to save it’s past unlike Denver Colorado…
This became a porn/Grind-House theater in the late 1980’s and by the late 1990’s it was torn down!
