Despite having lived fairly close to this theater, I only remember going here a handful of times. I know I saw the Special Editions of Star Wars and the Empire Strikes Back here. I also remember seeing Operation Condor, Cape Fear, and Tales from the Darkside here. It wasn’t a bad cinema and it wasn’t a particularly spectacular one either.
The architecture of this cinema was certainly neat looking. But, it was closed when I moved here, and for as long I can remember it’s been a motorcycle dealership.
This has been a concert venue for as long as I’ve lived here in the Springs. I went to see Stabbing Westward here more than a decade ago. But, I believe my wife said that she saw Superman here when she was a kid.
This is one of several theaters that I used to attend fairly regularly, not as much as the Tri-State Mall, but still pretty regularly. I think I saw Dune, the Legend of the Lone Ranger, and Silverado here.
The Branmar, Concord Mall, and the Tri-State Mall were probably the three cinemas where I saw the most movies as a kid. I distinctly remember seeing Tron and ET here, plus tons of other films. My parents basically used movie theaters for babysitters.
I seem to remember that whenever I went to see a movie at this theater I was always stuck hearing the movie playing on the next screen over too. Something was loopy with their sound-system.
I went to see the Doors here and I was pretty clearly hearing the Silence of the Lambs at the same time. Not a bad cinema otherwise.
I must have seen dozens of movies at this cinema. The last time I was anywhere near this place it was still a theater and it was still next door to the Pathmark. Wow, I feel old now…
My house is almost right behind this theater. It’s a second run cinema, I’ve seen a handful of movies there, Thor, Gran Torino, Around the World in 80 Days, and Tangled. It’s a cash only operation…
I remember this place as an underage night club, I never knew it was once a movie theater, but I had attended the club a number of times, and I even remember seeing a concert there…
I went to this theater a number of times when I was teenager. My family used to vacation in Fenwick Island and this theater was within walking distance of our cottage. Also, a friend of mine worked there, and I was pretty friendly with most of the staff. I saw Roger Rabbit, Die Hard, Young Guns, one of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Midnight Run, Darkman, and a little obscurity known as North Shore here…
This theater used to show Hong Kong and Indian movies after midnight on Saturdays. I went to see a number of Hong Kong movies here back in the 90s. Usually people wouldn’t know what was showing until a couple days ahead of time when a poster would suddenly show up on a particular wall in Chinatown…
I probably saw more movies as a kid at this theater than any other one. Everything from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Trek 2 to obscure oddities like Inchon…
I saw a lot of movies at this theater when I was kid. I remember watching Godzilla 1985 there, for the first half of the movie there was no sound, when I complained the staff had nothing to say. They didn’t offer passes to another movie and not even much of an apology. When I was in college in the early 90s it was a second run theater, I remember seeing Cool World there…
Was this theater a bargain cinema in the mid-1990s? I’m certain I’ve been there a few times, but I might be mixing it up with another theater.
Actually when I passed by this place the other day I noticed they are now taking credit cards.

I remember going to see Das Boot here when I was a kid. The TLA video store was one of my favorite video stores ever too…
