The United Artist Eastchase Market 9 on its opening day of September 25, 1997 when it showed $1 movies benefiting Cook Children’s Medical Center and the Variety Club of North Texas. The next day, Eastchase’s 40,000 square foot cinema transferred to first-run films. At opening, the theaters ranged in size from 150 to 480 seats through Carolina Cinemas operation of the theater as Movies at Eastchase Market. AMC picked up the theater and reduced the seat count installing plush reclining theater seating in 2014.
