Eastman Theatre

Lewis M. Townsend and William H. Hennesey created optical effects for prologue shows at the Eastman in 1925 that shocked and delighted patrons including the illusion of trains coming out into the audience, stage objects appearing to be on fire, and penguins waddling onto the stage.
