he city council took up the issue of the grey-field status Valley View Mall in June of 2016. After that meeting, the mall and theatre was slated for demolition at the end of December of 2016. A new, smaller 10-screen AMC Midtown theatre was proposed (rendering above) with an exterior, ground-level entry as opposed to the third-floor interior entry of the AMC Valley View 16.
