A look at 1954 Main Street. The gas station at 101 E. Main (which as of the 2010s was a Collision Center auto repair facility), the business at 103 E. Main, and the Ritz Theater operating at 105 E. Main. The Ritz would close in the early 1960s operating in five decades. It would be renamed the Electra Theater in 1963 which – after experimenting as an adults-only art theater in 1965 - decided to go straight repertory in 1966 rebranding as the Holiday Art Theatre. It closed and became the Richardson Playhouse, a live venue from 1969 to 1972. The building was still standing in the 2010s retrofitted for other business purposes yet still housing elements including the original balcony now seatless and the screen and rigging.
