  • <p>The palm trees add a nice touch to just two of the screens in the background of the marquee standing in the middle of the super wide entrance driveway. Maneuvering visitors to the correct screen can be tricky; note the instructions on whether to go to a booth to the north (near) or south side of the sign.</p>
  • <p>When you’ve got that many screens, you need a lot of navigation signs. This was just one of them.</p>

  • <p>The operators of Yuma’s Mesa Drive-In were so impressed with its success that it built a second Yuma ozoner. It was the Silver Spur Drive-In Theatre that launched May 20, 1953 with the films “Pony Express” and “The Girls of Pleasure Island.”</p>
