  • <p>It’s Thanksgiving Day 1970 and time for Cinema I & II to open in Hagerstown next door to the Hager Drive-In. The theatre would outlast the neighboring drive-in and adapt with the twin to multiplex phase of the industry while surviving in a megaplex world toward its 45th Anniversary in 2015.</p>

  • <p>The sale of the original Hager Drive-In’s land for $75,000 was finalized in late February of 1965 and a new spot was soon identified for Hager Drive-In’s reboot within Hagerstown to the north adjoining the current cinema at 20145 Leitersburg Pike.The new Hager launched July 23, 1966 with “Music City U.S.A.” and “Phantom Hill.” It fulfilled a 20-year lease closing in 1986.</p>

              <p>Metro Fire Department are laying out their hoses and ladders to battle a fire at the Jolar Cinema on Lower Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee April 14, 1978 after the call came in after 5:40 p.m. when Jim Conley, a cashier at the theater, heard a noise pop in the front booth. Some of the business along the adult cinema are Gruhn Guitars Inc., Friedman Music and Loan and Western Wear, Al’s Pawn Shop, H. Brown and Co. Furniture store and the Mayfair Furniture store.</p>
