  • <p><a href="http://www2.boxoffice.com/the_vault/issue_page?issue_id=1952-2-2&page_no=116#page_start">Boxoffice</a> ran this photo in its Feb. 2, 1952 issue. The caption said the 69 was “one of three outdoor theatres operated by Dickinson Theatres”. Although Boxoffice erroneously said it was in Salina, the dark stripe near the concession booth matches the Pittsburg 69’s aerial photo.</p>

  • <p>This is a 35mm film short lasting about 10 seconds on the screen.  This would have been shown before or after the trailers advertising the Friday and Saturday Late Show.  The photograph shows three film cells and it takes about twenty film cells per second on the screen.  Purchased at the auction after the theatre closed.</p>
