A crowd of children was on hand to greet Santa Claus when he arrived in Creston Saturday morning. Santa rode through town in a cavalcade made up of the fire truck, police cars and a wagon carrying the Sweet Adeline Singers. The parade was sponsored by the Creston Businesses Association, who also sponsored two free shows at the Tivoli Theatre. The children were given candy canes and popcorn. Aiding Santa Claus were members of the VIG’s ’77.
