“I’m guessing this photo of the 100 block of N. Dearborn in Chicago was snapped in the mid 1990s, give or take. I wrote in some info with blue computer ink. "MT” and “CIN” stands for Michael Todd and Cinestage. These two theatres (formerly Harris and Selwyn Theatres) were next to each other and had been closed for many years when this photo was snapped. The Michael Todd would later be torn down, except for the facade, which is still standing. The Cinestage would be demolished inside, but the facade and northern wall is still standing. The Goodman Theatre complex was later built here, including the original facades still intact.

The plot of land next to it….where I wrote “W”…..is where the Woods Theatre once stood. That theatre got torn down in 1989."
