Unlike the Gulf Drive-In, this drive-in would have been a challenge to find for those not from that area because it was quite a distance from a major road.
Correction to the introductory sentence for the Gulf Drive-In theatre: the Isle of View Drive-In theatre was in the Springfield community of Panama City, Florida (as mentioned by Chuck1231 above). The Gulf Drive-In theatre was in downtown Panama City between Harrison Avenue and Cove Blvd (now MLK Blvd) on East 15th Street as noted by the map link shown above.
Does anyone have information on the old theatre that once existed on Long Beach Resort that became home to the “Noah’s Arc” before being demolished in the 1970’s? It was located almost opposite of the former Petticoat Junction amusement park on Hwy 98.
