The DVD comes out in April 2011.
Many of the interviewees unfortunately are now deceased and sadly never even got to see themselves in film.

The above link by Warren to the Community Theater is from 1934 according to the same photo seen in a book containing old Queens pictures by Seyfried (I believe that was the author)
The Community was in Queens Village.. I almost missed this thread because of the location..perhaps the powers that be can correct it.

My dad says he attended the Casino On DeKalb near Broadway to see the burlesque shows with his teenage friends..mid 1930’s (prior to that they went to The Star on/near Fulton-I will have to further clarify with him as there seems to be more than one Star®? He was there at the Casino one night when a patron wearing a raincoat caused a big ruckus and was escorted out..if you know what I mean LOL!

Thanks all… Mom (Mara Gaye) was one of the burlesque dancers at the Troc in the 1950’s.
I dont have moving pix but a few stills, poster, newspapers ads for Adams, Empire (and Hudson UC) as mom did the burlesque circuit
