After looking at the historical-aerial shots. The Chisholm Trail Drive In Theatre eventually became the The Twin aka Jefferson Twin..I’m guessing the McClendon Family bought this one, then added another screen & changing the name. Just like they did with the Downs Drive In Theatre. That eventually became the Century 4, then Century 5, after the McClendon Family bought the Downs Drive In..
Ok. for some reason, that link will not work. You’ll need to copy and paste the Whole link, including THeatre to see the shots.. Sorry.. For some reason, it is leaving off the “THeatre” part of the link above….

Last time I was in Athens, The Trail Drive In Screen was still standing as well as the snack bar. Altho, the land was being used for Scrap metal. This a few years back. I plan on going back there soon, if at all possible, for some updated photos..
RAC Photography
Today, the only thing left is the marquee which still stands hidden in the trees. The foundation of the snack bar & projection room is still on the land. Nothing else is left..

Well, sad to say that the PARK Theatre has been demolished! Went by there back in December and there was a company removing the Abestos. One of the guys told me it was gutted and it had been used as a Cleaners.. Then, sometime in January, the Theatre was razed. Only the Foundation remains……
The status of this Theatre is Demolished. Has been for a while now..
It had Four screens. I believe it was a Dollar theatre before it closed. It used to sit Behind The El Chicos that is no longer in business as well…
What is now left of the Jones (Weatherford) Drive In Theatre.. View link .. Sadly, Just the Marquee..
