Wow— I saw only one movie there, and at the time thought it was the next generation of theaters, taking over for the old UA Del Amo and Mann Old Town theaters.
And then in a blink of an eye it’s gone, too.
Nothing like the life cycle of movie theaters to give you some perspective.
Any of you work with a guy named Ken Ash around 1988-1990?
Saw Rocky III, Ghostbusters II and Batman here, among others. Great days.

Ha— I was also born in 1970 and remember the haunted house and some other rides.
Also remember seeing Jaws 3D, Fright Night and Weird Science in the theaters there.
Great time of life…
Had a buddy named Ken who managed the UA Del Amo in 1988-1990. Anyone know him?
Kind of a dive by then but was one of the earliest theaters I went to as a kid.
By 1990 it was a dive and on its way out but still saw some great movies in mostly empty, sticky floored, creaky seat theaters.
