When we would show the previews for Earthquake (and later regular showings) it rumbled throughout the building. The first time we showed the preview, people in the lobby actually thought one was happening!
Loved working there. Except having to pop popcorn upstairs! awful.
My favorite time was when we had American Graffiti in Cinema 2 and The Sting in Cinema 1.
I just discovered the King Cat sign is in a building kitty corner from where it was. Very cool!
I now work in the Amazon Doppler building which is around the corner on 7th and Westlake.
I’ll have to look for the pieve of the sign! I think I remember Jerry. I want to say I worked there until 1982?
I wonder if you worked there with me. I was there around 80-81.
The final movie there was “Demolition Man”, which was on the marquee long after the building was torn down. Sad.
