Village Twin Boronia 216 Dorset Road, Melbourne, VIC - Previously the Electra Theatre.
Village Cinemas demolished the Electra Theatre in 1976 and constructed a twin cinema complex, this ran until 1989 when Village removed their operation to the Knox District Centre. The Boronia complex was taken over by Century Cinemas and expanded into 4 cinemas. Village returned for a short period while their operation was being re-developed as part of the new Knox Shopping centre. The Boronia operation was closed for a short time in 2002 and re-opened in 2004 as the short lived Regent Cinemas. In 2005 the theatre was acquired by the Schouten family and has been run under this banner ever since.
