Description - The ceiling (pictured) is the original ceiling from the Menora indoor cinema, and I believe it still exists as such today. (Note: Originally the lighting was indirect, however in the subsequent years after closing, fluorescent lighting has been added for various purposes) The plaster mould ceiling is fashioned in the shape of a chess board, displaying squares of various colours. Celebrated theatrical architect Samuel B. Rosenthal designed the building and the unique ceiling.
