Details - The Hoyts Ivanhoe Theatre was the tenth opening of a Hoyts Suburban Theatre. The design provide for four shop frontages, and provides seating accommodation for 1,700 people. The building cost was £55,000.

The (Hoyts Ivanhoe Foundation Stone) it is assumed that the foundation stone ended up at the tip after it was wrecked by the company Whelan.

The Hoyts Ivanhoe Theatre was opened on 25th October 1924 with Reginald Denny in “A Reckless Age”. It was designed by architectural firm Kaberry & Chard
