TRIBUTE - Mr. R. D. Hall Projectionist
Young Man Saved From Electrocution - Pinned to a switchboard in the projection room of the Vogue Theatre, Kingswood, on Tuesday night, and taking the full force of la 415 volt charge.
Brian Cedric Symons. 21, of George street, Norwood, was saved by the prompt action of the projectionist. Mr. R. D. Hall, of Miller street. Prospect who left his machine and thrust Symons away from the board and on to the floor. Symons was treated by Dr. Kyle Gault for burns and taken to his home. The picture show was New Vogue Kingswood 25 Belair Road, Kingswood, SA.
Mr. Hall was previously awarded a Royal Humane Society medal in 1929 for having dragged another man away from electric wires at Prospect. The man subsequently died, and Mr. Hall was in hospital suffering from burns for several months.
