Hoyts Chatswood Theatre 387 Victoria Avenue, Sydney, NSW
CHATSWOOD (NSW) Ending its cinema days as simply “Hoyts Chatswood” the site had originally housed the 1912 open-air DREADNAUGHT PICTURES, which was then partially roofed before being rebuilt as a hardtop.
It was the poor sister to the nearby Hoyts Arcadia, and later the newer Kings Theatre.
Hoyts later renovate this one as the Esquire and when they closed the bigger Arcadia would relaunch the Esquire as Hoyts Chatswood.
