The Northcote Theatre as Italia Hall in 1982 & today as one of our premier live music venues.

Franc de Petro writes - The Northcote Theatre is a reminder of the golden era of film even though it stopped screening movies in 1960.

In 1965, 212-220 High Street, Northcote, was reinvented as a full time music venue known as Italia Hall, holding regular cabaret nights featuring Italian music featuring singer Tony Pantano, who passed away in 2023, was one name who played here on a regular basis. Wrestling events featuring Italian heavyweight Bruno Ventura were also held here.

It reopened in 2022 as a huge live music venue capable of hosting 1,500 patrons.
