Item - Metro Goldwyn Mayer letter re: taking control of The St James Theatre Bourke Street..
Description of letter - This is a letter forwarded to The Public Health Department by P.j.Telfer (District Manager), advising that Metro Goldwyn Mayer have taken over full control of The St James Theatre from April 3, 1942.
Note: Metro continued to operate under the name St James until Dec 17, 1952 where it was re-named Metro Bourke Street. The opening program was Mario Lanza in BECAUSE YOUR MINE.
