The Royal Theatre was downtown on Courthouse Square. My dad’s family, the Mays, owned it. I can’t remember the year my aunt, Frances Thomas, sold it, but I thought it closed after the Richland. It was near the pool hall and the old barbershop. My mom and dad, Freddie and Margie, have passed. I do have pictures, especially during the 1937 flood, but not much more info.
