Wasn’t the Woodhaven Mall what is now the Queens Center Mall? I don’t remember a theatre there, but I do remember a mall located at Woodhaven Blvd / Slattery Plaza subway stop, in the 1970’s. One of the department stores (I don’t remember which one) and the mall itself could be entered at the mezzanine level. The windows, remnants of which are still there, showed merchandise and a view of the basement level of whichever store it was.
As I recall, the mall itself was called “Slattery Plaza,” and I used to shop there when I was a college student at Pratt Institute, 1971-1975. I never, ever went outside, and never saw Queens Blvd. until I was working at the Elmhurst Jennifer Convertibles in 2005.
