In 1975 the movie “Drive-in” was filmed here at this particular drive-in. The film was released by Columbia in 1976. Actually saw the film at the very place it was filmed!
Sit your mall multiplexes self down. Now THIS is a drive-in!! 8 screens for pure pleasure and its out in the boondocks where it gets dark (unlike what we have in Fort Worth!). Love it!!
This was the west screen which lasted the longest before they demolished the whole site and turning the big property into some gas testing location of some sort.
I remember as a young one sitting on the porch of my boys scout hut facing the drive-in screen in early ‘70s. This drive-in taught me about exploitation T & A flicks. The Pam Grier prison flicks. The 'Teachers" and 'Nurses" movies. Oh, how I remember those hot flicks, its weird people seeing mainstream films there.
I tear up ever time I drive by the location. What memories!!

Love the apron on both sides of the screens to block off any lights that may be a distraction. More drive-ins need to think this way.
