Description of the location of the theatre, and angle of where I took the photos. As you can see, the Post Office was not where the theatre was. After demolition, the area became the Federal building parking lot.

Thanks for the update. When I was a kid we used to go to the Rivoli (later the Capri) Theater and to the Fox Theater down the street. As a newspaper carrier for the Van Nuys News and Green Sheet, I would occasionally receive free movie passes to the theater for meeting the newspaper sales goals. I can remember that back in the fifties, child admission was 25 cents, so free passes were very welcome, as in those days a quarter was WORTH something.
